Yellow white angelfish often have a beautiful, shining body due to the reflection of light. Their body easily reflects the many environment colors creating a very wide variety of colors.

Often they seem to be aware of their splendor and hence hang quietly … showcasing themselves as it were … maybe looking for love who knows?

This work shows this color power. The palette knife provides an expressive touch.

Like humans, angelfish form couples and then start a long relationship … They clearly show concern for each other and make every effort to protect each other … it is nice to watch this behavior. Other angelfish are often not allowed to come near … and certainly not when eggs have been laid.

In this work I have tried to show this “special bond of affection”. I have used watercolors to keep a certain playful character.

Angelfish are beautiful, big fish which are often hanging still in the water. Their big, slick bodies can easily reflect the light that enters the water from above. This makes them to be a marvelous spectacle, creating a full color palette by combining their own colors, the environment and the light.

In this work I try to show this colorific splendor.
